Terms of Service

By using Expatraders, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.

Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using Expatraders (the "Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Platform. We may update these Terms from time to time; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. We will notify users of material changes where practicable.

Description of the service

Expatraders is a marketplace that connects service seekers ("Seekers") with service providers ("Providers") in Southern Spain. Seekers post jobs, receive proposals from providers, and can accept and pay for work through the Platform. Providers create profiles, browse and bid on jobs, and receive payments via Stripe Connect. We facilitate connections and payments; we are not a party to any agreement between seekers and providers.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into binding contracts. By using the Platform, you represent that you meet these requirements. The Platform is intended for users in Southern Spain and neighbouring areas. You must comply with all applicable local laws.

For service seekers

As a Seeker, you may post jobs, receive proposals, accept proposals, and pay for completed work through the Platform. You are responsible for accurately describing your job, selecting a suitable provider, and paying for services received. The first job post is free; additional posts may incur a recurring fee (see payment terms). Full contact details of providers are revealed only after payment. You are responsible for your own due diligence before engaging a provider by using our internal messaging system.

For service providers

As a Provider, you may create a profile, browse jobs, and submit proposals. Your profile and proposals must be accurate and not misleading. Free providers have limited visibility; subscribed providers can edit profiles and receive priority placement. You are responsible for the quality of your work, taxes, insurance, and compliance with local regulations. Contact details are shown to seekers only after they accept and pay.

Payments and fees

Payments are processed by Stripe. Job posting fees and subscription fees are charged according to the pricing shown on the Platform. A commission (3–12% depending on provider tier) is deducted from each transaction before payout. Refunds are handled in accordance with our refund policy and Stripe's terms. You are responsible for any taxes on your income.

Third-party content

Provider profiles, job posts, and user content are provided by third parties. We require users to act in good faith and provide accurate information, but we do not verify claims, services, or statements. Expatraders does not own or control third-party content and makes no warranties as to its accuracy, completeness, or suitability. We accept no liability arising from reliance on such information. You must perform your own research before entering into any agreements.

Prohibited conduct

You must not: use the Platform for illegal purposes; post false or misleading information; harass, defame, or harm others; circumvent Platform fees or payment systems; create multiple accounts to abuse promotions; or use automated tools to scrape or manipulate the Platform. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms or for other reasons we deem necessary. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases. Provisions that by their nature should survive (e.g. limitation of liability, indemnification) will survive.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Expatraders and its affiliates are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to the Platform shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.
